Donald Rothberg is a leading teacher and writer on meditation, the intersection of psychology and spirituality, and socially engaged spiritual practice. He has taught and practiced Buddhist meditation for over 35 years, and his teaching and trainings have helped to pioneer new ways of connecting inner and outer transformation.  He is a member of the Teacher's Council at Spirit Rock Center and the author of The Engaged Spiritual Life: A Buddhist Approach to Transforming Ourselves and the World.

News! I've returned from my six-month sabbatical, and wrote about half of my book, "Transforming the Judgmental Mind."

Upcoming are a number of retreats (both residential and non-residential events) on these themes:

I'm co-teaching a 6-day Spirit Rock retreat on "Transforming the Judgmental Mind" May 29 to June 4, with assistance from Shahara Godfrey, Robin Gayle, and Eve Decker.

Oren Sofer and I will again teach our non-residential "Mindful Communication" retreat in Berkeley, this summer from August 1 to August 6, 9 to 5 p.m. each day.

PLEASE NOTE: The Wednesday morning gathering at Spirit Rock has been shifted from a 9 a.m. starting time to a 10 a.m. starting time.

Details for the events are on the "Schedule" page.
